Turning one WhatsApp shopping list into multiple supplier quotes

Voxd built Dave, a WhatsApp AI concierge that turns an informal materials list into a structured, confirmed quote request—then connects the customer to relevant Pricify suppliers and brings every response back into one simple journey.

Pricify

Pricify connects builders, tradespeople and DIYers with vetted building-material suppliers across the UK.

01

The challenge

Buying building materials can mean calling several merchants, repeating the same list and waiting for answers that arrive in different formats. Price matters, but so do stock, delivery timing and whether a supplier can fulfil the whole request. Comparing the real options takes time that builders, tradespeople and DIYers would rather spend on the job.

Pricify needed a conversational front door for that process. A customer's first WhatsApp message might contain trade shorthand, several products, uncertain quantities or a vague delivery date. The agent had to clarify what mattered without making the exchange feel like a form, preserve context across the conversation and never invent a supplier price.

02

Our approach

We designed the journey around the way people naturally ask for materials. Dave captures the products or services required, quantities, delivery address, required date, whether the customer is buying for trade or DIY, and the contact details needed to return the quotes. It only asks for information that is missing and can remember reusable profile and address details for the next request.

Trust is built into the hand-off. Before submission, Dave presents a clear summary of the complete request and asks the customer to confirm it. Dates are interpreted and confirmed rather than silently assumed, and pricing remains with the real suppliers: the agent structures the enquiry but does not estimate or manufacture a quote.

03

The solution

Once confirmed, the conversation becomes a structured quote request inside Pricify. The delivery postcode is geocoded, the requested materials are classified against the platform's product categories, and relevant supplier branches are matched using both category coverage and delivery radius. Those suppliers receive a qualified opportunity with the context they need to price it.

Each supplier response can include item-level availability and prices, delivery cost, date and time window, and supporting notes. Pricify then notifies the customer through WhatsApp and email, bringing the responses into one comparison view. The customer can weigh price alongside completeness and delivery terms, then choose whether to share their details with the selected supplier. What begins as one informal message becomes an organised, consent-led buying journey.

04

The result

Pricify gives customers one straightforward way to reach multiple relevant suppliers instead of contacting merchants one by one. Suppliers receive requests that are already structured, located and ready to price, while customers can compare the details that determine whether a quote truly works for their project—not simply the lowest headline number.

The service is backed by Pricify's nationwide network of more than 500 vetted suppliers. Pricify publicly reports more than 1,000 quotes sent across the platform, and Dave's workflow is designed to return up to five supplier quotes within the 24-hour service window. The result is less chasing, clearer choices and a much shorter route from shopping list to supplied materials.
